ODOT Weekly Construction Report for the Week of November 24 – Erie and Huron Counties

U.S. Route 6, Erie County
U.S. 6, from Exchange Street to just west of Baumhart Road in Lorain County, has intermittent lane closures for finalization work as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project will be completed by November 26, 2008.

State Route 162, Huron County
SR-162, just west of State Route 60 in the Village of New London, is closed for railroad crossing repairs. The detour route for westbound motorists is SR-162 to SR-60, south on SR-60 to U.S. Route 224, west on U.S. 224 to U.S. Route 250, west on U.S. 250 to SR-162, and reverse for eastbound motorists. The road will reopen on December 1, 2008.

U.S. Route 250, Erie County
U.S. 250, just north of State Route 13, will be restricted to one lane of westbound traffic for drainage work on Monday, November 24 and Tuesday, November 25. The lane closure will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude by 4:00 p.m. each day.

U.S. Route 250, Huron County
U.S. 250, just south of Townline Road 187, has intermittent single lane closures of short duration as crews mobilize heavy hauling equipment as part of a railroad grade separation project. No major impacts to traffic are expected; however, motorists are reminded to use caution when approaching the construction work zone. The project is scheduled to be completed on October 30, 2009.
