Workshop 1: Navigating, Searching & Bookmarking the Web Workshop 2: Desktop Tools, E-Forms & Anti-Theft/Anti-Virus Software Workshop 3: Communicating: Video Mail, Skype, Blogging & Facebook Prerequisites are basic computer operating knowledge and basic Internet skills Come to one workshop or all of them. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information on all events. The Huron Public Library would like to thank those participated in the recent Max & Erma’s fund-raiser for the library. The library received a donation of $195, which was 20 percent off the checks at Max & Erma’s and Perkins Restaurant for those who presented the fund-raiser flier. YarnWorks meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4. This is a new intergenerational gathering of people who like to work with yarn by knitting or crocheting, and meets on the first Thursday of the month. Bring your current project and share your knowledge with others. Instructors will be on hand. 2010 Winter Storytimes at the Huron Public Library began Tuesday, Jan. 12 and will run through Wednesday, Feb. 17. Lapsit for children up to 2 ½ years with caregiver will be held on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m. or Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. Registration is required by calling 419-433-5009. Toddler Time for children 2 ½ - 3 ½ years with caregiver will be held on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. or Wednesdays 10:15 a.m. No registration required.

Try the Huron Youth Connection for 5th – 8th graders at the library. HYC meets Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 5. Have a snack, play games or hang out with friends. Visit twice and if you like it, join the Boys and Girls Club of Erie County for $10. Rockin’ Readers (a book group for 3rd and 4th graders) will meet on Wednesday, February 3 from 6:30-7:30 PM. Members will read Half Magic by Edward Eager, and are asked to bring a magic trick to share or perform. Library Announces Holiday Hours

The Huron Public Library will be closed for the holidays this Thursday, Dec. 24 through Sunday, Dec. 27; and again on Thursday, Dec. 31 through Sunday, Jan. 3.
