(left) Jeff Fortune, a professional video producer, offered career insights to EHOVE’s Interactive Media Tech Prep class November 10 when he visited as a guest speaker. Fortune, who is originally from Huron, started his professional video production career at the University of Toledo studying broadcasting. Shortly thereafter, he started his own in-house production studio. He then discovered he could share his experiences and knowledge with others, and joined the team at GeniusDV in Orlando, Florida. Jeff accompanied two students to South Africa to edit and produce a national television show. He has also done work for Walt Disney World in Orlando. As an Apple Certified instructor, he also teaches Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, and Apple Motion.
Tech Prep is a program offered through a partnership with BGSU Firelands that allows high school students to earn college credits while completing their high school requirements.  Interactive Media Tech Prep, taught by Instructor Dustin Lowery, gives students a solid foundation in computer software packages, including desktop publishing, digital video production, and web page design.
