Firelands to Offer Flu Shots
Firelands Regional Medical Center will be offering seasonal influenza vaccine and pneumonia vaccine during the following dates in October:
- Thursday, Oct. 7, from 3 to 7 p.m., Firelands South Campus
- Wednesday, Oct. 13, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Firelands South Campus
- Friday, Oct. 15, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Firelands South Campus
- Thursday, Oct. 28, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Firelands South Campus
Cost for the influenza vaccine is $20. Pneumococcal vaccine is $55. Recipients must be 18 years or older. Firelands will be accepting cash or check only. Medicare Cards will also be accepted. Medicaid or private insurance will not be accepted. CDC guidelines for pneumococcal vaccines are as follows: One injection before age 65 and one injection after age 65. Recipients must have a physician’s order for any additional pneumococcal vaccines.
