Library Gets Into Holiday Spirit

The Huron Library’s Magic Holiday Open House will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4. Programs include the Huron High School Troubadours at 10:30; Magician Jim Kleefeld at 11; the Kellers at noon; and recognition of Trustees Emeritus at 12:30. 
Registration is required for the Magic show online at www.huronlibrary.org or by calling 419-433-5009. There will be a special visitor, crafts for all ages, face painting and refreshments.

Gingerbread House Contest at library
Come see the gingerbread houses that were part of the library’s contest!  Contestants brought entries to the library between Friday, November 19 and Tuesday, November 30 for display.  Library visitors will cast their votes for their favorites in four divisions; Family (created by several members of a family), Tween (an individual in 3rd - 6th grade), Teen (an individual in 7th - 12th grade), or Adult (an individual 18 yrs. or older).  A prize will be awarded in each division.  The winners will be announced on Saturday, Dec. 11. Yarnworks will meet at the library from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2. Join the group of knitters and crocheters. Bring a current project and share your knowledge over tea and cookies. Register online at www.huronlibrary.org or call 419-433-5009.

Family Story Time will be held at the library at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9. No registration needed.

Open Play Chess for all ages at the library is on Saturdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Chess boards are available so bring a friend and play!
