Parks and Rec Looks For “Christmas Spirit”

Do you go all out decorating the front of your house for the holidays?  Do you look forward to outdoing your decorations from holidays past?  If so, then it’s time to make Huron shine. This year, the Huron Parks and Recreation department is bringing back its holiday decorating contest.

They are looking for houses in the city that best represent the Christmas Spirit.  This year, they want everyone in town to show their holiday spirit. There are no registrations and no sign-ups – residents should just decorate the outside of their houses and they will automatically be  in the contest. 

The rules are simple: a person must live within the city limits and have the house decorating completed by Wednesday, Dec. 8.  A panel of individuals will be judging houses the week of Dec. 6-11.   The families/individuals selected for their outstanding “Christmas Sprit” will be announced the following week.  For more information, call 419-433-8487.
